Basalt tape, also known as lava wrap, is a heat resistant tape used to wrap exhaust pipes and more. Basalt lava tape improves thermal performance and reliability. Insulated pipes improve performance with any machinery. Made from continuous filament basalt (volcanic rock). Basalt fiber tape is made from basalt roving or textured fiber and can be woven to varying thicknesses and weaves. Basalt tape (lava wrap) is non combustible and fire resistant. Maintaining its integrity at temperatures up to 1800°F/982°C basalt is safe, inert, non-respirable, chemical resistant, acid resistant and water resistant.
